Is this just another random prompt list?
Nope. Prompt lists give you a noun and leave you hanging. Mythdrop gives you a world. Every drop is a piece of a campaign with lore, characters, and the specific bones of a setting. I’m giving you the story, then you decide what it actually looks like in your sketchbook.
Do I have to draw everything in the brief?
Absolutely not. You’re the artist here. If you only want to design the character, go for it. If you’re a prop specialist, focus on the artifacts. Use the lore however it sparks your creativity. We’re here to have fun and share our work, whatever that means to you.
What if I don't usually draw fantasy?
The core of Mythdrop is world-building and storytelling. Even if your style isn't traditional fantasy, these briefs are a great way to practice interpreting a story and making it your own. We want to see everyones interpretation of the same story.
What is "The Tavern"?
It’s our private Discord. It’s where we all hang out, post our work, and see how everyone else interpreted the lore. It’s a low-pressure space to get out of the social media vacuum and just be an artist for a bit.
How easy is it to cancel?
Very easy. You can cancel your subscription with two clicks in your account settings at any time. No dark magic here. If you need to step away from the guild for a while, we make it simple to leave.
What exactly do I get when I join?
Every two weeks, a new Drop hits your inbox. You’ll get a deep dive into the lore of a specific world, a Character to design, a Prop, and an Environment. Prompts, questions to consider and challenge paths you can choose to create. You also get access to The Tavern (our Discord) to share your work and The Vault to see every drop we’ve ever released.
I’m a beginner. Is this for me?
If you want to draw cool shit, yes. The lore, prompts and challenge paths aren't there to grade you. They’re there to give you a starting point so you don't have to stare at a blank page. Whether you’re a pro or just starting out, the goal is the same: pick up the pencil, create and share with the guild.
What’s your stance on AI?
Mythdrop is a sanctuary for human craft. We’re here to celebrate the blank page struggle and the actual skill of drawing. Because of that, we have a zero-AI policy in our community. We want to see your lines, your mistakes, and your style rather than a generator's.
How does the "Founder’s Price" work?
Because you’re here early, you can lock in a $6/month price for life. As long as you stay an active member, your price will never go up. Even when we add cash-prize competitions, product giveaways and the price increases for everyone else, yours stays the same.
One heads up: If you cancel your subscription and decide to join again later, the $6 deal is gone. You’ll have to sign up at whatever the current "new member" price is at that time.
Why are you doing this?
I’ve spent 10 years as a Creative Director, but I’m an artist first. I wanted to build a community where we can all grow together while I work toward being a present father when my baby arrives in June. I’m in the trenches drawing these briefs right alongside you.
